Job Description

Manage account closing for month-end, year-end, and support internal/external audit process:

πŸ‘‰Prepare month-end checklist with assigned team members, timeline, and send it to relevant stakeholders.
πŸ‘‰Manage month-end closing by target timelines:actively & closely monitor the team members’ task list to make sure that they are completed on time.
πŸ‘‰Review team members’ booking entries to make sure these transactions are accurately recorded, well documented & explained.
πŸ‘‰Coordinate with other departments for smooth closing and actively discuss appropriate solutions.
πŸ‘‰Summarize findings during book closing and coach team members for improvements.
πŸ‘‰Oversee reconciliations of general ledger accounts: expenditures, intercompany transactions, and premium/claim-related balances.
πŸ‘‰Arrange regular meetings to reflect on results and lessons learned.
πŸ‘‰Prepare monthly Trial Balance on time, send to relevant stakeholders and play the key role to explain transaction booking when being asked.

Take charge of balance sheet reconciliation (BSR):
πŸ‘‰Arrange team members to support audit process.
πŸ‘‰Ensure requested data is provided to auditor on time.
πŸ‘‰Respond to audit inquiries and draft management response.
πŸ‘‰Play the key role in accounting team to deal with audit issues and actively update the status of audit progress.

Finance Transformation:
πŸ‘‰Drive process optimization and automation initiatives.
πŸ‘‰Support data inputs for IFRS17 project.

Payment Process and Risk Awareness:
πŸ‘‰Ensure payment/settlement process is smoothly done within turn-around-time (TAT) and maintain proper bookkeeping.
πŸ‘‰Review team members payment preparation and record keeping.
πŸ‘‰Ensure all payments are correctly paid and are in line with the company’s policies.
πŸ‘‰Participating in annual review of policies and guidelines.
πŸ‘‰Alert the line manager or department head on the suspicious cases.

Team Leadership & Development:
πŸ‘‰Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring continuous development and adherence to best practices.
πŸ‘‰Foster cross-functional collaboration with actuarial, operations, distribution channel and compliance teams.
πŸ‘‰Arrange refresher training on policies/procedures.
πŸ‘‰Provide coaching to team members & execute members’ job rotation to make sure development and back-up.

Job Requirement

πŸ‘‰Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or auditing.
πŸ‘‰Minimum 5 years of experience in finance operations.
πŸ‘‰Strong understanding of accounting operation including but not limited to book-keeping, payment, tax and internal controls.
πŸ‘‰Experience working cross-functionally and finance transformation projects.
πŸ‘‰Previous experience in life insurance is advantageous.
πŸ‘‰Proficiency in SUN system and advanced Excel skills.

Benefit

Working Day – Monday to Friday.
Time – 08:00 am – 05:00 pm.
Excluding public holidays in Cambodia.
